A local of the Goodlettsville and Hendersonville areas, Jeremiah played his middle school and high school career as a Buccaneer. During his playing career at Beech High School he helped lead the Buccaneers to a District title in 1995 with a record of 22-8 only falling short in the region tournament. He received All-County, All-District, and All-Tournament Team honors as well as being named MVP. Jeremiah went on to receive a basketball scholarship to extend his playing career at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN. He started his coaching career in 2001 and has recently had stints at White House Middle School and T.W. Hunter Middle School. His desire for the development of youth basketball was instrumental in the founding of North Nashville Hoops in 2012.

Jacob McDonald

Jacob McDonald, a native of the Goodlettsville and Hendersonville areas, has been passionate about basketball from a young age. He played at T.W. Hunter Middle School and White House Middle School before having success in multiple sports at White House High School, where he earned All-County, All-District, and All-Tournament honors. After graduating from White House in 2020, he accepted a basketball scholarship to Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he played a role in the team’s 2021 National Championship victory in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). In 2024, Jacob earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Bible & Theology. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Education at Welch College in Gallatin, while competing in his fifth year of collegiate basketball. Inspired by his father, Jeremiah McDonald, and his work with North Nashville Hoops, Jacob is passionate about continuing and expanding the league to impact the next generation of athletes.
